Cartoning, overwrapping or shrink wrapping?
Understand the packaging formats before comparing downstream equipment.
Cartoning puts the product into a carton
A cartoner opens cartons, inserts products and closes the package. Selection depends on carton dimensions, board quality, product clearance and required output.
Overwrapping folds film around the package
Overwrapping uses film around individual cartons or groups. Check film specifications, package dimensions and whether an opening tear strip is required.
Shrink wrapping combines sealing and heat
A wrapping or sealing machine prepares the film package and a shrink tunnel applies heat. Match film, product size, temperature requirements and throughput to the selected system.
Choose against the finished pack
Send a sample or drawing of the package you want to sell. Confirm maximum and minimum dimensions for each format rather than assuming all limits can be combined simultaneously.
